Finding Your Way to Patient Care Suites
Our staff and volunteers are always available to help you find your way. Our suites are individually numbered and signs at every hall entryway identify rooms. We have many spaces dedicated to making visitors and family members comfortable when they are here to see patients.
Family Gathering Spaces
The Great Room is a large and homelike gathering room for family and friends, featuring comfortable seating and workspaces. The large kitchen and dining table offers a place for larger family gatherings and meals. There are additionally two lounges, a screen porch and a sunroom.
Family space in each patient room is provided so loved ones can have a comfortable area to sit, sleep and work while being close to their loved one.
Visits from children are welcome. We invite families to enjoy the youth room that is a designated space for children and teens who are spending time in the Hospice House with their family. We ask that adults supervise all children during visits. Please control noise levels and help us protect our building and grounds from damage as a consideration for all families at our Hospice House.
Pets
We welcome pets to our Hospice House. We ask that they are supervised by and adult and taken outside when needed. For the health and safety of all patients and families, visiting pets must be on a leash at all times. Pet Stations are located on the grounds to enable pet owners to pick up after their pets.
We also have animal-assisted therapy animals that visit patient rooms. Patients who wish not to have pet visits can ask to be removed from the visitation list. All of our therapy pets are on limited diets and must be on a leash when outdoors. We ask that visitors not give them pet treats and not permit them to go outside unsupervised.
Restrooms
Family restrooms include showers and laundry are located close to patient care wings and the nurse’s stations. Hospitality kits, including soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, are available from the nurse’s stations.
