Dr. Iahn Gonsenhauser is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, post-graduate trained within the OSUCOM Department of Internal Medicine Primary Care Track and now Clinical Internist/Hospitalist within the Department of Internal Medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). His background and training includes a B.A. in Psychology/Neuroscience from Syracuse University and an MBAin finance/bioscience entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management and six years in biomedical research in the fields of physiology, genetics and cognitive science of aging prior to medical training. His current role as chief quality officer provides leadership and oversight of Quality and Patient Safety across the multiple business units of the Wexner Medical Center. He engages extensively in collaboration with nursing leadership, hospital administrative leadership and quality program leadership to provide operational management, financial management and leadership functions with focus on pay-for-performance programs including CMS and managed-care based programs.
