Shook Foundation Awards $2,000 Grant to Ohio’s Hospice for Patient and Family Support Services
Employees at Shook Construction, through their nonprofit foundation, have provided a $2,000 grant to Ohio’s Hospice to support patient and family services.
The Shook Foundation selected Ohio’s Hospice as one of its grant recipients, as part of its annual giving to nonprofits that provide support services to the community.
“Since 1978, Ohio’s Hospice has served patients and families in the Dayton region in their homes, extended care and assisted living facilities, and the Hospice House location in Dayton,” the Shook Foundation said in a statement. “A variety of grief support services are available to the entire community through the Pathways of HopeSM Grief Counseling Center. They are nationally recognized for outstanding care.”
Ohio’s Hospice was nominated for the grant by Shook employee Blake Perkins, who had previously volunteered at the Dayton campus of Ohio’s Hospice.
The Shook Foundation noted that all the donations made by the employees of Shook Construction are used to contribute to nonprofit organizations for transformational causes within the community.
Thank you to The Shook Foundation for supporting our mission!
