Scholarship Helps Nurse Jenni Bolton Advance Toward Major Goal
Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County nurse Jenni Bolton is one big step closer to reaching her goal. “Becoming a Nurse Practitioner has been a goal of mine since I entered the medical field in 2001,” Jenni says. “No one is more excited about this scholarship than I am!”
Pictured above (l to r) are Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County Clinical Director Lora Wilcher, Jenni, Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County President Heather Bolton and Kathryn Brod, LeadingAge Ohio President/CEO, as she presents Jenni with a $1,500 scholarship award.
Jenni has been accepted into the Graduate program at the University of Cincinnati Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program. She is receiving some much needed financial support through a scholarship from the LeadingAge Ohio Foundation. The Nurse Practitioner program has a hefty price a tag and Jenni does not qualify for financial aid, so getting the scholarship helps relieve a portion of the financial burden. “More importantly, it proves to me that I am on the right path,” Jenni says. “When I received the email from our education department that Leading Age was offering this scholarship I decided to apply. I know that I am living according to God’s plan and if I am meant to be doing something then it will all work out as he plans. I appreciate all of the support and encouragement from everyone within and outside of our organization.”
Congratulations and best wishes to Jenni as she takes her next step toward a major life goal.
