Peggy Sue Combs Receives Carnation Award Recognition
Outstanding members of the Ohio’s Hospice staff are recognized every quarter with the Bouquet of Recognition Awards for going above and beyond in advocating for and serving patients. As a member of Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton’s Hospitality staff, Peggy Sue Combs is the recipient of the most recent Carnation Award, presented to staff members in clinical support roles.
Two different families submitted Peggy Sue’s name for consideration for the Carnation Award. “She responded immediately over serveral days to multiple requests for assistance, with empathy, kindness, always smiling and always asking if there was anything else she could do for us,” wrote one family member. “She clearly cares and loves her job.”
Another wrote that it was evident that Peggy Sue brought compassion to her role. “She truly cared for my husband and all of my children. She sang a song for us that her mother had written…she was special to all of us…and deserves the recognition award. I will never forget her.”
Our most sincere gratitude goes out to Peggy Sue for being such a caring member of our mission. We celebrate her heartfelt love for those we serve with this Carnation Award. Thank you for all you do!
