Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County Seeks Volunteers
Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County is recruiting community members who are interested in volunteering with hospice patients and their families. Volunteers are needed to provide respite care, caregiver relief and companionship in patients’ residences in addition to helping with fundraisers, office work, delivery of supplies, baking, sewing and other projects. The not-for-profit hospice organization also is seeking Veteran volunteers who are willing to visit with Veterans in hospice care.
“A volunteer’s presence can improve the quality of life for our patients,” said Courtney Lubbers, volunteer coordinator at Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County. “Volunteers touch the lives of our patients and families in support of our mission to celebrate the lives of those we have the privilege of serving. Each volunteer brings unique skills and experiences to the role of their choosing.”
Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County welcomes volunteers of all ages, religions and ethnic backgrounds. Volunteer orientation and training will be provided. For more information about volunteering, please call Lubbers at Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County at 740.335.0149 or email her at clubbers@HospiceofFayetteCounty.org.
