Loved Ones Remembered at Pathways of Hope 2024 Angel Tree Memorial Service
Ohio’s Hospice Pathways of HopeSM held its annual Angel Tree Memorial Service at Faith Christian Church in New Philadelphia, bringing together 122 community members to honor loved ones who recently died. The evening provided a meaningful space for remembrance, with participants sharing names and lighting candles in memory of their family members and friends.
Music therapist Josie McCutcheon, who serves patients at Ohio’s Hospice Truman House through a partnership with The REID Foundation and Central Ohio Music Therapy, provided music for the service.
Refreshments were provided by Ohio’s Hospice volunteers. The program consisted of special music, words of comfort, a special reading, and the opportunity for participants to share the name of their loved one and light a candle in their memory.
The community raised a total of $2,200 in support of patient care and services at Ohio’s Hospice. Our sponsors, Faith Christian Church and Warther’s Cutlery, provided the space and a handcrafted angel ornament for each participant to receive as a keepsake.
The service was coordinated by the Patient & Family Support Services team: Manager Emily Duggan, Marissa Bryan, and Kelsie Gunnoe.
