Kim Vesey has been named general manager and executive vice president of Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, a not-for-profit hospice care provider that has served patients and families in the Dayton region for more than 40 years.

In her new role, Vesey will be responsible for standardizing care and outcomes, and assuming delivery of superior care to each patient Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton has the privilege of serving in the area.

“It is an honor and a privilege to step to the helm of this organization as its general manager and executive vice president,” Vesey said. “I am committed to leading Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton with passion and dedication.”

Vesey began her career at Hospice of Dayton in March 1985 as a nurse caring for patients in their homes. She worked under Betty Schmoll, founder of Hospice of Dayton.

“Our organization’s commitment to superior care and superior services started with Betty,” Vesey said. “I was blessed to have the experience of working alongside Betty.”

Vesey graduated from Wright State University in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She earned a master’s degree in health administration from Central Michigan University in 1998 in addition to a certification in spiritual direction from Sycamore Spirituality Center in 2013.

An affiliate of Ohio’s Hospice, Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton is a not-for-profit hospice provider. Since 1978, it has served patients and families in the Dayton region in their homes, extended care and assisted living facilities, and the Hospice House location in Dayton. Grief support services are available to the entire community through the Pathways of Hope grief support center.
