WHO: Clergy of any religious affiliation

WHAT: Most clergy have received a hard phone call: a sudden death; a death through unnatural means such as accident, suicide, homicide; the death of a child. There is little question these types of death bring intense and prolonged grief reactions that can lead the comforter to feel helpless. The workshop “Supporting Grievers of a Traumatic Loss” led by Debbie Holt will educate on the normal grief process with an emphasis on the challenging grief responses to a traumatic loss. Strategies to provide effective help to these grievers will also be provided.
