Coping With Grief at the Holidays

FreeNovember marks the observance of Hospice and Palliative Care Month, and Ohio’s Hospice affiliates are actively engaged in offering education about hospice and palliative care to other clinicians who care for those facing life-limiting illnesses. Continuing education credits are available for nurses and social workers on a variety of topics being presented by Ohio’s Hospice staff members.
This session’s topic is called “Coping With Grief at the Holidays,” presented by Monica DuShane, MSW, LISW-S, ACHP-SW, Bereavement Counseling Professional. As a result of this conference, the learner will be able to:
- Understand challenges the holidays present for grieving people
- Understand challenges professional caregivers face when providing end-of-life care during holidays
- Explore coping strategies designed to minimize stress

CEU Info: 1.0 Contact Hours. This activity has been approved by Ohio’s Hospice, Inc., an approved provider of continuing education by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Provider Number RCS070901. In order to receive a CE certificate, participants must attend the entire presentation and complete a program evaluation. This program can also be applied toward annual educational requirements for nurses.
