
2025 Camp Pathways

WHAT:
A day of support and fun for grieving children and teens. Offered to families in the Southwest Ohio region, Dayton and surrounding areas.
Camp Pathways is a unique experience designed to encourage children and teens to express their feelings of grief in a safe and fun environment. Professional grief counselors and trained volunteers lead group sessions and activities. Some of the benefits of the camp are:
- An opportunity to be with other kids and teens who also have experienced the death of a loved one.
- Group support time that provides grief activities.
- Lots of fun, age appropriate outdoor activities such as swimming, games, and arts and crafts.
- A memorial service that honors the memory of the loved one.

COST:
This camp program is available at no cost, thanks to the generous support from our community.
TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation to and from camp will be provided on Friday at the Ohio’s Hospice Dayton campus.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CAMP VOLUNTEER?
A camp volunteer is someone safe to talk, play, laugh and cry with during camp. Camp volunteers are assigned one to two children for the duration of camp. To volunteer, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be available and present all day on camp day.
- Complete a camp buddy application (all volunteers).
- Complete an online volunteer services application with two references (new camp volunteers only).
- Complete Dousign agreements.
- Complete camp waiver.
- Complete a background check and be fingerprinted.
- Attend one training/orientation session. Dates and times to be announced.
All volunteer requirements are due by June 2, 2025.
