Thank You Erie Insurance for the Support

Eades Insurance Agency Provides Lunch for Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care Staff

When Erie Insurance, based in Erie, Pennsylvania, gave money for each agent to spend in their community, Greg Eades, a principal agent of Eades Insurance Agency in London, Ohio, used it to help the staff at Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care and senior citizens being transported by Madison County Senior Center.

“I talked with my wife, Barb, and we wanted to help folks who may be overlooked,” Eades said. “The staff members of Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care are on the front lines during COVID-19. In addition, there are senior citizens being transported to medical appointments who may miss meals because of transport times or they are worn out. We wanted to help these people in our community.”

During the month of May, each Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care staff member is eligible for one free lunch from Phat Daddy’s Pizza courtesy of Eades Insurance Agency and Erie Insurance.

“I was thinking of people who are out there every day, who might not be recognized,” Eades said. “I grew up in this community, and I care about this community. Erie Insurance is a good steward of the community, and its leadership has allowed the agents to make good choices.”

Eades is a lifelong resident of London. He opened his insurance agency in London 22 years ago. In addition to being an insurance agent, Eades hosts a radio show, “Community Matters,” on ReadyFM 105.1 FM.

In 2002, Eades’ mother was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer and was receiving care from Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care.

“At the end, Loving Care was involved. We had someone in the house every day,” Eades said. “It takes a special person to be able to go in and deal with these end-of-life stories every day. The hospice organization was a great help to my family. The nurses helped with my mother’s care. They kept an eye on everything.”

When Eades’ father passed away in 2018, Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care also was present for his family. Eades is grateful for the care the not-for-profit hospice organization provided both of his parents.

“We appreciated the care that Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care provided both of my parents,” Eades said. “When Erie Insurance gave us the funds to support our community, I thought of the staff at Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care in addition to senior citizens in our community.”

Staff members at Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care appreciated the generous gift of lunch.

“We are grateful to Greg Eades and Eades Insurance Agency for recognizing our staff during COVID-19. We appreciate Greg’s generosity and support for Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care,” said Renee Sparks, general manager/executive vice president of Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care. “We are honored and privileged to serve the patients and families of this community.”
