Clark-Meyer Family Leaves a Touching Legacy
The family of Pauline Clark-Meyer has left a touching legacy at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. During their visits, they noticed the importance of a tranquil space for families to take a break and find peace on the grounds. Through their generous donation, a stunning bench was purchased and installed outside the Hospice House entrance in honor of Pauline’s life. Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County is humbled by their kindness and grateful for the meaningful impact the bench will have on our patients and their families.
During their visits to the Hospice House, Pauline’s family members would occasionally step outside the front entrance to take a break and get some fresh air. They thought it would be nice to have a bench there that could be used by visitors.
The family contacted the team at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County on how to make this a reality and soon after, they donated to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County through the Ohio’s Hospice Foundation, which raises funds to expand outreach, enhance our services, and continue to provide superior care and superior services for our patients and their family members. Soon thereafter, a bench was installed outside the front entrance of the Hospice House at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, showing that charitable gifts come in many different forms!
The family recently posed for a photo with the bench. Pictured from left to right in the front row are Shelley Ha, granddaughter; Debbie Clason, daughter; and Sue Clark, daughter-in-law. Pictured from left to right in the back row are Bill Clark, son; Tony Ha, grandson, Christopher Ha, great-grandson; and Jeff Clark, son.
“We thank the family of Pauline Clark-Meyer for their generous donation and for their support of our mission,” said Lori Igel-Poelking, CFRE, president of the Ohio’s Hospice Foundation. “They identified a need, and their response resulted in something that will benefit other families for years to come.”
