Celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month
October marks LGBTQ+ History Month, and Ohio’s Hospice is joining the celebration to honor our teammates and the patients and families we have the privilege and honor of serving.
Each October, the LGBTQ+ community celebrates worldwide the contributions and resilience of its members in a variety of ways. At Ohio’s Hospice, we’re honored and privileged to serve the LGBTQ+ community with hospice and palliative care. We take time to recognize and express our appreciation for the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to our nation.
Ohio’s Hospice is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and care support services for all. We are privileged to provide superior care and superior services to all of our patients and families, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. See more about how we’re supporting inclusion through SAGEcare.
This commitment extends to our own team. We proudly support our LGBTQ+ staff members who contribute their unique perspectives and experiences to our mission every day. Their dedication enhances our ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to all patients and families.
LGBTQ+ History Month, now celebrated in 20 countries, was founded 30 years ago by teacher Rodney Wilson.
