Ohio’s Hospice Recognizes Volunteers During National Volunteer Week
During National Volunteer Week, April 19-25, Ohio’s Hospice is recognizing its volunteers across all affiliates for their service. In 2019, 1,495 volunteers served more than 98,000 hours and made more than 20,000 visits to patients.
Volunteers play a vital role within the hospice care team and are truly the heart of hospice care. The volunteers at Ohio’s Hospice have a positive daily impact on the staff, patients and their families.
Volunteers provide a variety of services throughout the 37 counties Ohio’s Hospice serves. Visiting with patients, delivering supplies, assisting with office duties, and making keepsake items for patients and families are just a few ways volunteers donate their time.
