Celebrating a New Location!
Ohio’s Hospice recently marked the collaborative centralization of support services to benefit affiliates of the organization with an open house at the Ohio’s Hospice organizational home in Centerville.
Located at 7575 Paragon Drive, the office complex serves as mission headquarters for the affiliate hospices that are members of Ohio’s Hospice. The 35,404 square foot facility currently houses over 80 staff members serving in human resources, education, communications, quality assurance, technical and administrative services that provide essential support to the eight not-for-profit community hospices that comprise Ohio’s Hospice.
Among those in attendance at the Open House event were local dignitaries, community and board members. Pictured above participating in ribbon-cutting ceremonies are (l to r) Ohio’s Hospice Board Members Tom Mann and Greg Toman, Washington Township Board of Trustee Member Sharon Lowry, Ohio’s Hospice President/CEO Kent Anderson, Ohio’s Hospice Board Member Lisa Hanauer, Washington Township Administrator Jesse Lightle and Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton Foundation Board Member Jerry Tatar.
Together the affiliates of Ohio’s Hospice deliver:
-More visits and direct care to patients than any other regional hospice provider;
-More resources to provide care to patients and their families, like spiritual care, respiratory therapy, massage, occupational, bereavement and art therapies; and,
-More support by serving patients wherever they call home, in every care setting, including extended care facilities, assisted living facilities, hospice houses and hospital in-patient settings.
“The affiliates of Ohio’s Hospice set the highest standard of care to ensure Ohioans have access to world class end-of-life and palliative care,” says Kent Anderson, President and CEO of Ohio’s Hospice. “Each affiliate is strengthened by sharing resources and is able to respond to an increasingly competitive environment, increasing regulatory challenges and a declining reimbursement environment. Working together, we assure not-for-profit community hospice services continue to be available across the state.”
