Thank you for supporting the Charm Days Raffle for the Amish Care Fund! | Ohio's Hospice LifeCare

Charm Days Raffle Raises Funds for Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare’s Amish Care Fund

Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare raised more than $70,000 for its Amish Care Fund at Charm Days in Charm, Ohio through a raffle. The donations will go toward patient care and services for the Amish community. Charm Days, which takes place the second weekend of October, has been held since 1983.

“I continue to be in awe of a community that takes care of their neighbors like Charm, Ohio,” said Katherine Ritchie, development director at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare. “We’re truly grateful to the community for their support of our mission and to our volunteers Emma Yoder and Sharon Pooler for their months of work to make the raffle happen.”

The Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Amish Care Fund is supported by donations from Amish Churches and fundraisers to help Amish and Plain Church patients who do not have Medicare, Medicaid, or other insurance that covers hospice services. The Amish Care Fund helps ensure that Amish and Plain Church patients are able to receive superior care and superior services offered through Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

The 15 raffle items included $7,500 cash; 48” Snapper Pro Mower, Swarovski Spotting Scope, 14 x 16 Pavilion, D&M hunting blind, swing set, LuxCraft glider set, NCM Milano Plus Bike, Cutco K Rotating wash line, cross bow, flat top griddle, Bernette Serger sewing machine, VitaMix, and steam iron.
