Volunteering has Been a Joy for Linda Lowe
Linda Lowe has been a volunteer for 20 years at Ohio’s Hospice in Wooster.
“My last child left for college, and I thought I should find something to do,” Lowe said. “I got involved because I was looking to do something with my time, and it has been a great benefit to me to be a hospice volunteer.”
When she finishes an assignment, which has varied over the years from doing laundry at home visits, to working in the supply room, Lowe walks away from each experience feeling an incredible sense of satisfaction.
Volunteering has just evolved over the years, according to Lowe, but thanks to the current Manager of Volunteer Services, Elisa Stoyle, and her predecessor, Becky McCurdy, who retired in 2022, volunteering has been a joy.
The volunteer training at Ohio’s Hospice is wonderful, Lowe said.
“They have been great at training and working with the volunteers. Because they are so good it has helped me just stick around,” Lowe said.
Thank you, Linda, for your support of our mission!
