November 2024: Celebrate Kindvember® by Being Kind to Yourself
Join us for our second week of celebrating Kindvember! Each year, as part of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, we celebrate Kindvember® in November. This initiative recognizes and honors kindness, one of our key mission values, and its importance in everything we do.
Kindvember is an Ohio’s Hospice initiative that honors the importance of kindness in our mission. We are inspired by a quote from Aesop: “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
As we show kindness to our patients and families, it is important to remember to show kindness to ourselves as well to better enable us to provide superior care and superior services.
During Kindvember, we invite the community to join us and take time this November to Scatter Kindness™ and share a bit of kindness in any way you can. It is important to be kind to others, including loved ones, neighbors, friends, co-workers, and yourself.
Below are some ideas on how you can Scatter Kindness throughout this second week of Kindvember:
- Call or text a loved one.
- Start your week with a clean space. Declutter!
- Take 30 minutes for yourself to relax.
- Go out for a walk.
- Forgive Someone.
- Give yourself a break from the news.
- Go out for an autumn drive.
Thank you for helping us Scatter Kindness across the state of Ohio in the communities we are honored and privileged to serve!
