Celebrating Kindvember® By Being Kind to Yourself
We’re celebrating the fourth week of Kindvember! We invite you to join our efforts to scatter kindness throughout the community.
Each year, as part of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, we celebrate Kindvember in November. This initiative recognizes and honors kindness, one of our key mission values, and its importance in everything we do.
This week’s theme is Be Kind to Yourself. We are inspired by a quote from the Dalai Lama: “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”
Scattering kindness throughout your community starts with you. It’s important to take care of yourself. When you’re kind to yourself, you’re a happier person. Your physical and mental health will improve. You’ll also feel more connected to others.
During the fourth week of Kindvember, here are a few ways you can scatter kindness by being kind to yourself. Be sure to use #Kindvember2023 to share how you’re scattering kindness throughout the month!
- Read a good book.
- Go for an autumn walk.
- Watch your favorite movie.
- Spend time in intentional relaxation.
- Write down three things you are grateful for.
- Treat yourself to your favorite snack.
- Take 30 minutes for yourself.
