Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare is hosting an online video conference, “Living Losses: Facing the Addiction of a Loved One,” on Monday, June 1, at 5 pm.

Led by David Hargrave, LSW, CTP, bereavement counseling professional with Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, the video conference will provide participants with a better understanding of how the addiction of a loved one affects the whole family. He will discuss the grief that families experience as they face a loved one’s addiction to drugs or alcohol.

“When a loved one is addicted to drugs or alcohol, people can be overwhelmed with grief,” Hargrave said. “For many, it seems like they no longer know their loved one. The addiction of a loved one affects everyone in the family.”

While the event is free and open to the public, registration is required. To register, call the front desk at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare at 330.264.4899. Those who register will receive an email with a link to the online video conference.
