Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare to Hold Celebrating Life’s Stories® Butterfly Release on May 21
As a way for community members to remember and honor special people who have touched their lives and live on in their memories, Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare is holding its Celebrating Life’s Stories® Butterfly Release on Sunday, May 21, at 2 pm, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare (1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691). Proceeds from the event benefit patient care and bereavement services to the community.
The event will be held behind the main building, next to the pond. After a brief program including music, participants will release butterflies in memory of loved ones. If an individual is unable to attend the event, butterflies purchased will be released on their behalf.
“We heard from so many families that this event was healing for both adults and children,” said Katherine Ritchie, development director. “Seeing a butterfly launch into the world is a visual that can stay with you. This event both supports our mission and helps the community.”
