Mother’s Day Tea at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton Offers Grief Support to Those Who Have Lost Their Mothers
For those who have lost their mothers, Mother’s Day can be a very difficult holiday. To provide grief support to individuals throughout the community who have lost their mothers in the past year, Pathways of HopeSM Grief Counseling Center at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton is offering a Mother’s Day Tea on Thursday, May 11, at noon, in the Community Room at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420).
The Mother’s Day Tea is an opportunity for those who are grieving to remember and honor their mothers. While a single event cannot heal the pain, the tea will provide opportunities to share with others who are experiencing the same loss. It also will provide participants with helpful information on how to cope with the grief the holiday brings.
At the Mother’s Day Tea, attendees will have an opportunity to honor their mothers through the sharing of memories and speak about what their mother meant to them. If attendees choose not to speak, it will not be necessary to do so. But setting time aside to reflect on those memories can be very helpful.
Reservations are required. To register, please call Pathways of Hope at 937.258.4991 by May 5.
