- Faces of Grief provides a safe venue for sharing experiences, discussing key challenges, and learning about positive coping strategies along the grief journey. These sessions are designed to help adult grievers understand the many nuances of grief, help them with processing the pain, and help them adjust to a world without their loved one. During the Faces of Grief group, participants will identify and process many of the ways that grief presents itself. It is not necessary to share openly in a group setting to receive support. The weekly curriculum and insights from others can generate hope and clarification for one’s own grief experience. Individual Counseling
Our philosophy is that grief is a normal reaction to loss, that each individual’s experience is unique, and that each relationship is one of a kind. The Pathways of Hope staff seeks to understand what is needed for each individual to navigate the grief process and to assist with an effective plan to cope with this life change.
One-on-one counseling sessions for children, teens, and adults are available by appointment. One session often provides adequate information for grievers to feel they are processing grief normally. Our bereavement counselor/social worker will develop an individual plan of care based on each individual’s needs.
To schedule an appointment or find out more about one-on-one grief counseling services, please contact Pathways of Hope at 937.258.4991.
