Missi Knisley Named Hometown Hero
Congratulations to Missi Knisley! Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial honored her as a Hometown Hero because of her efforts to serve her community and others. Missi is the executive director of Community Care Hospice and Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County, affiliates of Ohio’s Hospice.
She is a member several organizations, including LeadingAge, National Long-Term Care Administrator Forum, and Ohio Health Care Association. Missi is a speaker for her local Speakers Bureau. She is a member of the Clinton, Fayette and Highland County Networking Group.
Missi is past president of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, where she served two terms. She also is a past board member of the Fayette County Commission on Aging. She served for eight years in the Fayette County Rotary and was president in 2000. She was a Junior Achievement representative for six years.
She also served as president of her local PTO. She started the first Scarecrow Festival Parade in 1997 in Washington Court House. In addition, she served as chairwoman of the Safety Town program in Fayette County from 1997 to 2002.
